Bangers (sausages) and mash

Is this the best way to have sausages? Creamy mashed potato smothered in onion gravy might provide the best possible base for our sausages.

Ingredients

wJustwsausage Classic pork sausages*
Leeks
Garlic
Tarragon
Salt and Pepper
Potatoes
Milk and Butter

Method

First chop three leeks and peel some garlic.

Put leeks in pan with olive oil and smash the garlic, a bit of salt and pepper and some tarragon.

All of that goes in one pan which you cover and heat on low, stirring occasionally.

Then when it’s done put in a bowl and cover and put boiling water back in the same pan - saving on washing up.

You need to start heating the griddle pan and then when it’s up to temperature put the sausages on for 15 minutes.

Chop up the potatoes. With 20 mins to go put the potatoes in the boiling water. Use a fork to check your potatoes are done if they need a bit longer then you can turn off the griddle pan.

Once potato is done, drain, add milk, butter and leeky stuff and mash. Mash in bowl or better still, use a ricer if you have one.

Stick sausages in mash desperate dan style and serve.

Ooops forgot gravy.
